Jeanette Crews Designs and the Design Connection are please to bring you another in our "omnibus" series of at least 100 counted cross stitch designs per book. The flight of fancy that culminated in "Winged Things" had its roots in one of our favorite customers laughingly saying, "Yeah, when pigs fly!"--all those light bulbs in our heads started flashing and her innocent remark was all it took to get us started on this delightful book. So....we designed her whimsical Flying Pigs. We liked the pigs, so then we did cats. And dogs. And, yes even Flying Cows. And then the beauty of our subject overtook us, and we were inspired with birds, and bumble bees, and butterflies. In short, anything with wings is in this book. From classy (Winged Victory) to campy (Winged-Tip shoes), silly (Wing Nuts?) to superb (Birds of Prey), I think we covered everything that flies, or, like our grumpy gargoyles, forever roof-bound, wishes to. We hope this book makes your heart take flight and gives your needle wings.
