Williamsburg Christmas Ornaments, The Sampler House
These 5 tree ornaments were designed for Just Cross Stitch Magazine as a teaching project for their 1989 November-December seminar held in historic Williamsburg, Virginia. Each ornament is completely different and true to the colonial Williamsburg time.
Worked on 30-count natural colored linen, each ornament measures 4 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches high. Stitches include the favored Cross Stitch with Double Cross, Italian Cross, 4-sided, Buttonhole Bars, Flat, Small Algerian Eye, Square, Long Arm Cross, Chequer, Arrowhead, Algerian Eye, Irish, Rice, Herringbone, Plait, Montenegrin Cross, Queen, Double Leviathan and Rhodes Stitch.
