Bellpull and Sugarplum Ornament. This rich Victorian Rose sampler with matching ornaments was a joy to design! The Sugarplum Ornament with Hardanger flounces resembles a wrapped sweet candy ornament and can be made for your Christmas tree, or as a special gift for Valentine’s Day or a Birthday. All the pieces are stitched using a beautiful silk overdyed floss as well as softly blending silk flosses of red, pink, blue greens all on a rich taupe linen. Silky Cream Perlee silks and sparkling gold metallic threads and pink metallic beads add drama to this exquisite piece. The sampler can be stitched in a few evenings, including the Hardanger motifs at the bottom, and can then be made up very easily and quickly into a bellpull with simple bellpull hardware you can buy or create your own. Stitch the Hardanger at the bottom of the sampler and hang it as a short bellpull on your Christmas tree with some tassels at the bottom... what a wonderful display of your special stitching talents! Inside this leaflet there are easy directions for bellpull finishing. This design is appropriate for so many occasions, you can add some words between the bands, and add some more Buttonhole Stitching, and give it for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or a wedding or anniversary!
